We're mid crits right now. I'll post some pictures here later. We're not doing the shoe thing, but if we were these would have made today's cut.

Nice kicks.
An unrehearsed and largely unedited exercise in free speech - or just a way to foist my tiny little life and unsubstantiated opinions upon the world.

We've had a one year hiatus, but now the shoe competition is back. I decided this time that I would hold back the photos until the end for one big post - so here it is.
Unfortunately I left the index of who's feet each shoe is on back in my office at work, so for the time being we vote without names. All in all its probably more shoe-centric that way anyway. If you recognize the wearer you can always put it in the comments.
And so, without further delay, here are this years competitors:

Just bought a new pair of shoes. It took a second but I realized I'd picked out exactly the same shoes as the last time. So we have an opportunity for a "Before & After" pic. I think I bought the last pair in May, so this is every day for 6 or 7 months. Not sure if they ought to hold up better than this.

To quench an almost insurmountable shoe thirst, TANBI stringer Ken Chu submits the following from Friday's crit session:
I kept my eyes out for shoes and saw some good stuff, but had to send you a photo of this one just because I thought it was so unique. It was worn by Kelly Le Vine.

Day three; I am going to keep up so I don't forget who's shoes I am looking at.
Morning Session:
This was a session fairly lightly loaded with PTM students. The random this has come up with some odd groupings this year.
First up, Alana...
... apparently I nuked out an entire speech by getting caught up.
And then Julianna...
... she segregated work from my classes to the right side of her board.
Monday morning shoe winner:
... who I compared to a glass on the edge of a table. It made sense at the time.
... who I said doesn't talk enough, but Dick says I am wrong.
... S-O-L-E-N-O-I-D, OK?

So I go checking back, and I knew I hadn't done the shirt yet, but it turns out there was never even a post. Oops. So, last semester's winner is:

I've fallen behind. I swear I have not been this out of gas at this point of the year since starting this gig. But, I guess it is only fair that I should be as wrecked as the students.
Thursday AM Session:
During this session I told a student that their road to success lay through relaxing their bowels. People pay a lot of money for this kind of advice. Sometimes I wonder why.
So here's Derek...
... he's my Entertainment Engineering student. Take that UNLV.
Next comes Chapel...
... her dad is apparently a chicken champion or something.
Next we have Katie...
... who found some time for Scene Painting.
And then we have Rico...
... who will be back to Williamstown.
Then we have Rebecca...
... and Susan's back.
Thursday AM Shoe winner:

... she thinks she has to get more comfortable turning in work late.
... who explained that if I were to drop her from the program she expects me to cover the plane ticket home - business class.
... with a collection of nicely matted paperwork. She can't control the weather.
... who apparently just finished the "semester of binders."
... really that looks a little casual, yes?
... who finally got his legs under him.
... that's a working oleo model, very nice.
... who had a really tough semester, but managed a smile at the end.
