i should probably preface this by stating that i'm generally anti-religion of any kind (including atheism.)
while i agree with many of the author's suggestions, the way he presents his arguments are ridiculously biased and misleading. he seems actually to be suggesting that US government allows american muslims to kill apostates via freedom of religion, which is preposterous. i feel fairly confident that no matter how political correctness gets taken it will never reach the point of legalized murder in order to avoid offending a religious group. he also states that most mosques/imams in america probably do not preach the kill doctrine which means he is basing everything on the fact that the doctrine exists. unless i'm mistaken, the book of mormon still includes sections condoning polyandry, so the fact that the writing still exists doesn't seem that relevant if its not being taught.
reading the beginning of the article i thought he might address people using freedom of religion to try to illegalize abortions, gay marriage in addition to the section on muslims. i'm kind of disappointed how one-sided it turned out to be.
I might have finished reading this article if he'd initially quoted the Quran and these passages he's basing his entire argument on. Isn't supporting one's arguments with fact a basic tenet of writing these days?
