Since the suspect approached suddenly from behind, the victim could only describe his assailant as a White male, 20-30 years old, 6 feet tall, dark hair. No clothing description was given.

Um... that doesn't rule out a whole lot of people near the UC. But you know that. Why even bother posting that description?
Having not seen the rest of the blotter report, I'm not sure. It sounds like they're looking for an "outsider" who meets the description.
There's that filter that says one of these things is not like the other that lets you filter a CS major who wandered out of Wean for a couple hours from someone who is "dangerous"-- then again, the assailant could be dangerous because they fit in.
