Today we did a little design research. We went to maybe five stores to look at some furniture. At the end of the day we'd seen some really special couches.
If you were buying a couch, which would you buy?
Couch #1:
This one is really distinctive, and maybe not actually a couch. The piece on the right (stage right for the theatrically impaired) is a swivel. The ottoman is a separate piece, and that bit in the middle has a storage space.
After further consideration Mrs. TANBI thinks this might look like a woman bending over.
Couch #2:
So this one is really neat. It is two pieces. It might however be larger than most people's homes. It is a sectional system and there are maybe seven more pieces, so it might be worth some more research.
Couch #3:
This one has the advantage of sorta still being a couch while still having some very interesting lines. The curviness is a very nice feature.
I don't know if any of this will come to anything, but it was a fun day of shopping even if it doesn't.
