Me and the Missus are looking into honeymoon destinations, probably something all inclusive with a beach.
Anyone out there have a particularly good or particularly bad experience with any Caribbean destination?

i personally love jamaica. there's a sandals resort there that is couples-oriented and all-inclusive. i haven't actually been to that resort, but i've heard good things about it. they take lots of excursions to places like Ocho Rios and Dunn's River Falls which are both fun times. my parents also loved marsh harbor in the bahamas. it's a smaller, more private island so i'm not sure if there are all-inclusive resorts there. puerto rico has also recieved rave reviews from people i know and i am sure they have bigger resort-type places there. hope this helps...

I've never been lucky enough to go to the Carribean myself, but before I was born my parents went to Jamaica and said it was great, however over spring break we were talking and they mentioned something about there being some crazy stuff going on down there with drugs and weird stuff and it's just not a good idea to go there-apparently there's a good chance of getting youself stuck in a prison without doing anything-and that'll really put a damper on your honeymoon.
Mom and Dad also went to Puerto Rico and loved it but I don't know details other than it was nice. I think they did more of a city thing than a beach thing.
I do know that every year my high school took a trip to Tobago. I saw pictures-it was MAGNIFICENT! Beautiful place, and it's still lesser known, not quite the hot touristy destination yet so a little quieter, cheaper, and such. as for resorts, i don't know, but it's apparently very low-key and relaxing.
And I know my friend who lives in Venezuela vacations in the Dominican Republic and showed me her vacation photos-it's like the movie beach-clear blue water, pure white beaches-and she said it's just very nice down there too, kinda along the same lines as Tobago because not as many people really go there.
Don't know if that helps, but that's what I know! Have fun searching!

My little bro went to someplace called Peter Island (http://www.peterisland.com/), which knowing him probably cost more than my entire college education but they loved it.
I alas went to Italy, so can't help you. Although Italy in February was still pretty nice.
The only Carribean vacation I've been on was to Isla de Margarita (Margarita means daisy in spanish) in Venezuela, which was amazing and fantastic and super. The timeshare condos we stayed in were part of an all-inclusive resort, and it was one of the best vacations ever. Sunshine, beaches, fresh fish, cool historic stuff on the island, jungles to go to in boats (with all sorts of creatures to see and very clever guides), SCUBA trips, afternoon tea, a fancy city/resort town on the other side of the island from the resort... unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the place where we stayed... and travel there required an overnight stay in Caracas (but if you aren't using frequent flier miles, you probably could get better flights) which is a really sketchy, classicly South American city. Overall though, 2 thumbs up.
